About NextGenAT
Our Vision
We envision a world where world class remote support services are provided by all I/DD agencies, to allow them to address workforce shortages and create amazingly personal options for independence.
NextGenAT breaks down barriers that prevent I/DD service provider agencies from providing remote support themselves by “democratizing” remote support technology and know-how.

As the local service provider nobody knows the unique needs of the people you support better than you do. We aim to knock down the barriers to DIY remote support services so that local service providers can offer the people they serve a more personalized, intimate, and empowering remote support experience.

NextGenAT’s remote care platform enables our staff of caregivers to provide remote support monitoring while maintaining the high level of quality of patient care and strong interpersonal relationships we stand by.
Ten years ago with the advent of “smart homes,” it became clear that we could leverage technology to support people with disabilities in ways that provided more independence for them, while also being more cost-effective for agencies. However, at that time all the off-the-shelf solutions were for people who were already able to live independently with minimal support. Those solutions did not address the needs of people who lived in group homes, or who required more involved intermittent services in order to be healthy and safe.
We spent a long time trying to find a remote care solution for adults with disabilities that could support people by using technology to broaden people’s independence in a compatible way with in-person caregiving. This desire was further fueled by the cold, hard fact that increasing fiscal pressure on state budgets would continue to threaten the essential services people with autism and intellectual disabilities need throughout their lives.
However, we weren’t interested in replacing personal care with technology. I saw remote support services as a way to provide more independence for people in a financially sustainable way, while continuing to offer in-person care by qualified staff with established interpersonal relationships.
That ten year search ended with the serendipitous contact turned working relationship that was formed with NextGenAT. The team has an impressive history of groundbreaking work in the Remote Support field. The platform offers a truly remarkable, intuitive interface, with its ability to visually prioritize the care-level of any remote support based on the specific needs and treatment/care plan of the individual. Our own caregivers know the people we support best. NextGenAT’s remote care platform enables our staff of caregivers to provide remote support monitoring while maintaining the high level of quality of patient care and strong interpersonal relationships we stand by.
